Analog Devices - Engineering Innovation Hub & Customer Demonstration Center
Boston, Massachusetts, USA
LEED v4 Gold
The Engineering Team known as The Analog Garage, is an exciting group of individuals dedicated to developing the next generation of technological innovations. This special division of Analog Devices wanted to create a research facility in downtown Boston to improve collaboration with talented individuals who compose of the intellectual community.
This 35,000 sq. ft. project located at the top of a high-rise tower is in the center of Boston’s major transportation hub. The new open office spaces and research labs foster Analog’s collaborative culture, while the social spaces can host large industry related events. Employees and guests can enjoy the panoramic views of the city and harbor while utilizing the engaging workspaces, meeting rooms, large café for all-hands meetings.
There are two expansive roof decks with gardens located on the 21st floor, totaling over 4,000 sq ft. Through careful design the Roof Decks were created on top of reinforced existing structures that never envisioned the creation of occupied roof spaces. Gaining approval from the Landlord and City of Boston were just two of the challenges in achieving this aspect of the project. BDG worked closely with Chapman Construction to detail and coordinate how to install the steel and glass 21 stories over the pedestrian sidewalks below. The final Roof Decks went from being a four-season wind tunnel, to highly desirable gathering spaces with amazing views for the Analog Devices Community Events.
